Quite often I find myself in moments of deep thought, where my physical surroundings become errelevant to my situation. Although my eyes are open, visual information has no affect on what I am thinking, my brain ignores it, as if I have my eyes closed. The photographs in this series are taken at the moment of which I fall back in to physical consciousness. With an auto-focus camera, I take a photograph in the direction I had been looking but not seeing.
